Readers Choice March!

In March we're going to try our first ever Readers Choice! We'd like you to submit book ideas, then we'll choose four and have everyone vote for the one they want to read using our handy poll here on the right side of the page! Since we're trying this for the first time, lets have you submit a classic novel you would be interested in reading. We'll define "classic" as a book that most people have heard of and some might have read in school/college. Leave your suggestions under comments! Thanks!

  1. Does your definition of a classic include something that was made into a Masterpiece Theater mini-series on PBS? If so, I've been wanting to read "A Town Like Alice" by Nevil Shrute. It was first published in 1950 and was made into a Masterpiece Theater in 1981. I love the movie (it's not on DVD yet, which kills me) and I've been wanting to read the book.

Here's the link to the book on Amazon:

  2. I really want to read Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt. Pick that one!

  3. It seems like everyone read The Scarlett Letter in high school except me. So I wouldn't mind reading that one.

  4. Meghan McArthur suggested The Ladies Auxiliary, we read it a few years ago. It has a lot of discussion and a fun group read.

  5. Yeah, I wasn't sure if that one had been done yet. I enjoyed it but I would love to read any one of the others. Meghan
